TRANSPORTATION

Mission: To promote strategies that will improve the mobility of people, goods and services in San Mateo County by increasing the capacity of existing highway and transit systems and advocating new and alternate solutions to accomplish priority projects.

Strategy #1: Promote and embrace the development of Public Transit and Samtrans transportation systems and measures within San Mateo County.

Objectives:

  1. Increase the capacity and level of service to accommodate the growing demand of an economically healthy community.
  2. Support the autonomy of Samtrans and its continued coordination with inter-regional transportation agencies to facilitate expanded use of transit facilities.
